I am joined by longtime friend of the program, the host of the athletic football show

Robert Mays. Welcome back to the podcast. Thank you for having me. I'm very excited to be back.

This is going to be fun. I'm really excited for this premise.

You know, this time of year, it can be a little bit of a slog sometimes.

I've done this before, but I kind of narrowed the parameters a little bit or played with them to

have some conversations that I wanted to have, which is basically this. We're doing X factors.

We're doing the NFC, but here's what I told Robert. We are choosing on each team a player,

so not a coach, not a quarterback, who we think could determine the success of the season for that team.

And I couch that very specifically because I think different for different teams, success

means different things, especially in the NFC, by the way. And I think that's important,

right? Because, you know, like, if, you know, let's say you're a Rams fan, well, yes, you're more

likely to have more wins if Matthew Stafford plays the entire season is healthy, but I don't think

that's exactly what you're looking for this season. So, yeah, so it's different things. We can talk

about that for each of these teams, but I'm really excited. Some of them I had trouble with,

and I'm like legitimately excited to see which names he chose for some of these teams.

That's how I feel about you with some of the teams. For some of them, it was really hard to pick a

player because I think some of the X factors and the things we don't know are probably coaches.

And for some of them, they're definitely quarterbacks. So a lot of them were harder for different
