So today, we are chatting with Adam King, who's the vice president and general manager of

client computing business unit at Media Tech. Hi Adam, thank you so much for joining us. How are you? Good, Jenna. How are you? Good. Can't complain. Thank you so much for being on Same Brain. Do you mind just giving us a quick little introduction? Sure. My name is Adam King. of the personal devices business unit at MediaTech, which is a chip company based in Taiwan. We make chips for all sorts of consumer and commercial products. Now, we both have gone to a bunch of media tech events before, and it's been so much fun learning about everything that Media tech is in. And some things that,

you know, we don't even know that they're in and it's so shocking. So for anyone who's

watching and may be confused as to what media tech is, can you give us a little sense of the

scale of how massive it is? Sure. I think the easiest way to explain it is we are in two billion

devices a year that get shipped every year. Everything from smartphones to

Wi-Fi routers to tablets to TVs and much, much more. Yeah. So like, I mean, I guess when you're

thinking about, you know, different products, I mean, how many products would you estimate that

people don't even know that are in their home?

Yeah, I like to say that there's a good chance that you have at least five products in your home that have media tech in them.

I bet you have a lot more.

You might.

Your Wi-Fi router to your smart camera or your, you know, your doorbell camera, to your smart display, to your Chromebook,

we're in a lot of things. And, you know, people have more and more devices these days, too. I think the average person has around 30 Wi-Fi connected devices, and we're in a lot of them.
