Summary

In this episode, we break down our latest television and movie watches before counting down our top five favorite concert experiences of all time, inspired by the energy and nostalgia of Coachella. We start with recent TV and film talk, including Friends and Neighbors Season 2, the new Netflix comedy Big Mistakes starring Dan Levy, and the controversial new season of Euphoria. On the movie side, we discuss Super Mario Galaxy, the 2025 film Heel starring Steven Graham, the classic The Night of the Hunter (1955), and the shark-flood chaos of Thrash. Then the show shifts into a countdown of our all-time favorite concerts, from first-concert memories to unforgettable live performances. We talk Elton John in Las Vegas, Metallica at Soldier Field, Mötley Crüe and Ozzy in 1984, June Jam, Midtown Music Festival, Twenty One Pilots, Wu-Tang Clan and Run the Jewels, Grey Day, Panic! at the Disco, and Judah and the Lion in an intimate brewery alleyway set. If you love TV reviews, movie talk, live music memories, concert rankings, and pop culture conversations with some personality, this episode is for you. #Coachella #Euphoria #DanLevy #MovieReview #TVReview #Concerts #LiveMusic #Metallica #EltonJohn #TwentyOnePilots #TVReview, #MovieReview, #WhatToWatch, #Euphoria, #Netflix, #PopCulture, #Concerts, #LiveMusic, #Top5, #Coachella, #EltonJohn, #Metallica, #TwentyOnePilots, #WuTangClan, #MusicFans Learn more about your ad choices. Hey, welcome into another edition of The Next Real with Tyler Johns. I'm Lance Taylor. We talk movies entertainment. Today we're going to talk a little music and we're in a new setting here, our bourbon room. Yeah, I didn't even know we had this set up. I've been gone on a trip and then I came back and we've got this lovely wooden paneling wall and this nice team. Pretty cool, right? Yeah, it looks nice in here. A ton of bourbon. We won't get into the bourbon today. This is where we also do our Bama and Bourbon, but we will talk entertainment. We'll start first with what we saw this past week. I've got two movies and two shows for you. I've got one movie and one show. Okay. Well, I will start because I've got more. Two of the shows. Well, so one, it's back

a couple of years ago where he was like, everybody's got an Apple show except me. And then the next thing, you know, John Hamm, he's got an Apple show. It's really good. He's, you know, a financial guy that falls on hard times, gets let go from his job. So he starts robbing neighbors around his community of high-end items that they'll never miss.

And James Marston is a new character.

They've introduced this, this, you know, looks like a billionaire character that's coming to the neighborhood.

1:27.2

So very interesting twist.

1:29.1

They dropped the first two episodes after episode two, so I can't wait for episode three.

1:33.3

That's been good.

1:34.4

Have you heard about big mistakes on Netflix?

1:36.6

I haven't heard about this.

1:37.4

So Dan Levy, Eugene Levy's kid that was in Chit Creek.

1:42.6

He is a priest, and it's really a dynamic between him and a sister.

1:49.8

They get sideways with some organized crime over a necklace. It sounds really weird.

1:55.7

But I've seen three episodes of 30 minutes each, easy watch. Very, very funny.

2:00.4

I mean, his timing is as far as a comedic actor is really good for a guy that, I don't think he's done a ton. You know, he does a lot of commercials now, Schitt's Creek. But big mistakes, good starts so far. So those are my two movies or my two shows. Your show. The show I watched, only watched one episode because that's all that's out right now.

2:19.3

Euphoria came back over the weekend, and so I caught up on that.

2:24.3
