I’ve already covered the most dangerous carbohydrate in the world. Here are 3 more carbs to avoid!
Agave nectar is often marketed as a healthy sweetener, similar to honey, but it’s made up of 80–90% fructose. Fructose is processed only by the liver, where it can create stress and is handled similarly to alcohol. Research has shown that agave syrup can significantly raise triglyceride levels.
Agave syrup is highly processed, with the final product containing more calories than table sugar!
High-fructose foods like agave syrup and fruit juice can contain more fructose than soda. Excess fructose intake is linked to liver damage, metabolic dysfunction, and changes in brain genes.

| 0:00.0 | The next three most dangerous carbohydrates in the world. A few months ago, I made a video on |
| 0:05.6 | the most dangerous carbohydrate in the world. Millions of people watched it and I read through |
| 0:10.3 | the comments and people wanted to know more about other carbs that were also dangerous. Today I'm |
| 0:16.1 | going to talk about three of the carbs. And the problem with two of these is that they're marketed |
| 0:19.7 | as so-called healthy |
| 0:21.2 | foods. And so a lot of people are consuming a lot of them without realizing how damaging they are. |
| 0:26.7 | Number one, agave nectar. And you usually see organic agave nectar right next to the organic |
| 0:33.2 | honey section. It is definitely as far away from a health food as you could possibly imagine. |
| 0:39.6 | Even though it's low on the glycemic index, it is mostly fructose, 80 to 90% fructose. |
| 0:47.1 | You'll find it in different smoothie bars, every health food store. |
| 0:50.4 | Fructose is a type of sugar that's very different than glucose. |
| 0:54.7 | Glucose can be metabolized by all of your cells, but fructose cannot. |
| 1:00.3 | Your liver is the only organ that can deal with this fructose. |
| 1:04.3 | So when you're consuming a lot of agave nectar, you are literally targeting your liver |
| 1:09.4 | with a massive problem. |
| 1:11.8 | Because your liver treats fructose very similar to alcohol. |
| 1:15.5 | Whereas with glucose, all of your cells can deal with it. |
| 1:18.2 | But when you consume something high in fructose, boy, you are just really stressing out your liver big time. |
| 1:23.2 | Even if you think about high fructose corn syrup, that's only 55% fructose. Agave nectar is between |
| 1:30.2 | 80 to 90%. So when researchers compared sweeteners and rats, the gavel nectar group had the highest |
| 1:37.0 | triglycerides because in those rats, the fructose was converted to triglystriates, higher than any other |
| 1:43.9 | sweetener tested. And I'm really surprised that |
