| 0:03.0 | It's been kind of a chilly week too, and today the first of the screen windows are coming down, |
| 0:11.0 | the first of the storms are being put up. |
| 0:15.0 | Some people have gone to combination windows that don't need to be taken down and put up. |
| 0:23.5 | And some people wait until the first snow flies, the dreamers, the unstable element in town. |
| 0:33.1 | But most of them take down the screens and put up the storms, and a lot of them are doing that |
| 0:38.8 | today, while it's still warm enough to enjoy the job. |
| 0:43.4 | It's kind of a ritual there in Lake Wobagon, and especially at the Sons of Canute Lodge, |
| 0:50.5 | where every year about this time they have the ancient and honorable ritual of fall house cleaning, |
| 0:57.0 | and all of the canutes gather for the ritual storage of the ancient lawnmowers |
| 1:05.0 | and the ritual installation of the ancient storm windows. |
| 1:09.0 | And the grand oya stands up on the steps before |
| 1:13.5 | the canutes assembled and issues the call to cleaning. |
| 1:19.0 | Now it's the time for all you guys to help to make this place spiffy. |
| 1:26.2 | And all of the canutes respond, |
| 1:28.2 | Oh, yeah. |
| 1:31.2 | And then they all go inside |
| 1:32.9 | for the ritual tasting |
| 1:35.9 | of the amber essence of the blessed hops. |
| 1:39.7 | And after about an hour of that, |
| 1:49.0 | the grand ohya doesn't dare let them near the stormwinds. For fear one of them may attack a canoe and get them down on the ground and hurt them. |
