Well, today is Good Friday, and public schools in Medford are closed because of staffing shortages.

The district made the announcement on Tuesday, but many parents were frustrated by the short notice.

The whole entire school system, they don't have enough people to work.

Public schools in Medford. It's not like it's some random town, no offense, that's like way out there.

Officials said they plan to reevaluate their current policies and procedures related to the school calendar and religious holidays.

So it's a flex good Friday for many.

I think people are really, really frustrated. And I think it just, you know, they could have made this decision a lot sooner. It's not something that they just, like, found out over the weekend. So I don't know why they're waiting to the last minute. Ooh, I'm talkers in the news, but they're waiting until the last minute. It's very frustrating.

It is frustrating for parents, though, because they have to work.
