When is the last time you really thought about all that happens when a person is saved?

Well if you've ever received the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal savior,

here's what's going to happen to you.

Unless you discover who you are from God's viewpoint, you're going to discover who you are from God's viewpoint you're going to go through your whole Christian life and there'll always be something missing and you'll try to identify it as or maybe it's sin over here or something you miss that on over here and there'll always be something missing and you'll never quite feel like you live up to or match up to and so there's always a little negative there. I want you to

understand what God says about the new you and this is what Paul is talking

about here. This new you that you have become now that you've trusted Jesus Christ is your

personal savior.

And you remember beginning in verse five that he says therefore and then in verse

8 but now both of which Paul is getting ready to say something a little different so

he says based on all that you are as a result of Christ being in you.

Therefore, consider the members of your body dead,

put them to death, the things that are immoral.

Then he says, in verse 8, but now you also put them all aside, put what aside,

anger, wrath, malice, slander, and abusive speech from your mouth.

Do not lie to one another sense.

You laid aside the old self or the old you

with its evil practices and have put on the new self or the new you who is being

renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the one who created him, a renewal he says in which there is no distinction between Greek

and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, scitheon, slave, and free man, but Christ is all and in all.

Now what about this new use? Somebody saying, well I'd like to find out how I could be a new me because I don't like the person that I am.
