Over the last nine years or so I've been slated by the New York Times on a few different occasions.

It all began with my old columns where I'd break down their unstoppable wedding announcements,

and while I'll always wholeheartedly believe that they brought this criticism of those wedding announcements on themselves,

I do believe they attempted to make certain weddings seem just a little bit more ridiculous

than they actually were, in hopes of getting some more clicks to their website.

And after my criticisms with them became more mainstream than I had anticipated, I began

to wonder if they actually did have their eye on me.

As it turned out, they did.

Rather than referring to me by name and an article about the criticism that they actually

received for these wedding announcements, they simply called me one critic.

And honestly, being slighted in that manner by the New York Times is actually more flattering

than being called by name.

In fact, I have that very column framed and hanging on my wall in my place.

But since the inception of the Sunday Scaries brand, they've had no shortage of opportunities

to actually interview me for pieces that deserve an expert.

And no better example of this exists than a piece written two weeks ago for their wellness

section titled, Hanzidey, How A Night of Drinking Contank Your Moved.

One of the many things I noticed about life after 40 is that a single glass of wine can

make me feel icky the next day the author begins.

I wake up tired, foggy, headed and anxious, even more so than I usually do.
