The results are in, and Donald Trump will be 47th president of the United States come January.

He'll return to the White House as the first president who's been reelected after being impeached during his first term.

He's also been convicted of 34 felonies since his win in 2016.

Trump took the stage surrounded by his family and supporters in the early morning hours,

only this time not to claim victory for an election that he'd lost, but to thank the millions who voted him back into office and by a significant margin.

I want to thank the American people for the extraordinary honor of being elected your 47th president

and your 45th president.

And every citizen I will fight for you,

for your family and your future.

Every single day I will be fighting for you.

And with every breath in my body, I will not rest until we have delivered the strong, safe,

and prosperous America that our children deserve and that you deserve.

This will truly be the golden age of America. That's what we have to have. It's a remarkable political comeback. Trump's White House win

comes with a new Republican majority in the Senate. The fight for the House is still too close to

call. He won key battleground states like

Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Georgia, putting him over the 270 electoral college

vote's threshold needed to win. We'll take a closer look at the data later on.
