It is my honor and privilege to announce that I will nominate Judge Brett Kavanaugh

to the United States Supreme Court.

It's the second time and as many years these had the opportunity to change the makeup of

the court, how significant is the second choice?

It is a hugely significant choice.

Mostly what matters a great deal is that a Republican president sees the court as a way

of paying back his base, of showing his loyalty to the people who elected him and really providing

a fifth vote for a conservative, reliable, hard-right majority.
