So tell us a little about yourself and your journey possibly for our listeners and viewers.

Yeah, so I'm Canadian.

I'm from Vancouver.

I have been in Britain for almost 30 years as a professor.

I've always been a skeptic of the cultural left since, you know, probably in my teens.

So I haven't really changed, haven't gone through a sort of Maoist phase or anything like that.

But I kind of, you know, I sort of didn't, wasn't all that political, let's say in the early part of my career.

I kind of stayed in the closet like a good boy and did my academic things.

But I was interested in, you know, even in my first book, which came out of my PhD called the Rise and Fall of Anglo America,

which was really a study of the, the wasps and

their kind of decline from the 19th century, late 19th, mainly through to the middle or middle to
