Good morning. This is Laura.

0:12.3

Welcome to the new corner office, the podcast where we share strategies for thriving in the new world of work,

0:20.3

where location and hours are more flexible

0:23.3

than in the past. Today's tip is to make set decisions for Mondays, so you can free up

0:31.2

mental space for more important matters. I'm taking today's tip from Kendra Adachi's new book, The Lazy Genius Way.

0:40.3

In it, she shares strategies for running households and life more effectively.

1:35.2

dinner is pasta, because it is every Monday, you don't have to devote brain power to pondering this,

1:42.3

when you could be figuring out how to serve a new client.

1:46.4

Now, of course, you can decide once on stuff for any day, but there is a particular genius,

1:52.9

perhaps a lazy genius, to doing this for Monday. Many people start the week in a discombobulated

1:59.4

state. They didn't go to bed on time the night before and so they're tired.

2:04.2

They know there is a big pile of work waiting for them, but they don't know exactly what's in the pile.
