This episode comes from a letter I got from a listener who had moved to a new country following

her spouse's job.

She was working from home, and while she noted that this had been great, I do find myself

going to social media a lot as a way to connect to people, since I don't get to chat with

anyone throughout my work day, she said.

Work calls tended to be mostly about work.

She found herself slipping down the rabbit hole of social media, but it was hard to avoid,

since Instagram and WhatsApp were the quickest way to have the equivalent of a water cooler

conversation.
