Todd Erzen is here with me as well. Day 2 of 3 here, live from Dallas, home of the Blaze, Aaron. Our friend and producer continues on his honeymoon.

So we didn't want to take a bunch of vacation time in Iowa in the dead of winter when there's total and complete desolation over a foot of snow fell the day before we flew down here.

So we thought, let's save that precious time for a time that we actually would prefer to use it. So we're here working without Aaron, which means some of the things and elements that you love about our program are a little stripped down.

This is more of the Steve Day Show unplugged without Aaron on lead guitar, right? So we've been working on themes. Yesterday's theme was an obnoxiously early look at the 2024 GOP Presidential primary topic, which makes Todd's ears bleed in his eyes gouged.

I think we handled it with Okanus. I rallied. Yes. I was there for you. Yes. Yes. Today's theme is we're going to talk about the nature and the recognition of evil.

Our entire show today is a theology Thursday. Evil. What is it? Can we quantify it? You know, the classic definition of obscenity in Kentucky, the famous Supreme Court case Kentucky versus Sanford in the Supreme Court justice said, you know, obscenity. I can't define it.

But I know what it is when I see it, right? Can we define it? Do we know what it is when we see it? Why do we have to know? How is it at work in our culture today? One of the big topics that's going on right now is to boil down the whole story.

Essentially average Americans on a website decided to take advantage of the same kind of market manipulation. The 1%

Hoi Poloi use via hedge funds every day to essentially take a stock market that is supposed to be a place of regulated objective speculation about the value of corporations and their practices, right?

But instead they've manipulated it into a form of a lottery, a bubble via these hedge funds and a group of everyday Americans kind of decided, you know, we can't get nine or 10 of us to, you know, put in 10, 15 million each into one of these things, but we can get thousands of us to put in 1500 bucks or 2500 bucks, you know what I'm saying?

So let's do this. Let's do what they're doing and you're watching the system now the day after it worked.

You're watching and we can call it the oligarchy. You can call it the spirit of the age. To me, the oligarchy is the physical manifestation of what's really at work in our culture. That's a spirit of the age.

But what we're really talking about is we're trying to name and quantify evil.

Well, for me, but not for the shorting stocks for me, but not for the tolerance for me, but not for the.

And when you see stories like this, you can't help but start thinking to yourself, where are we going as a country right now?

I mean, I've got text messages from friends of mine involved in politics all over the country.

That are incensed at what they're watching take place right now on Wall Street.

And none of them would ever be caught dead voting for an Elizabeth Warren, but a lot of us kind of sound like her right now because this isn't capitalism.

Now, we would argue that what Elizabeth Warren wants and instead is to further empower the very system of big government and getting its tentacles involved in big business and everything else that has led us to this place.

But our complaints sound a lot like a speech on Elizabeth Warren would make.
