Well, yesterday here in the U.S., we commemorated Memorial Day.

It's a time for us to stop and think through those who have given their lives for our country, our freedoms, and it's a sobering time.

Reflecting on the military, we live in a military town here in Colorado Springs, lots of different things going on.

We know that military families face incredible pressures.

And today we want to devote our episode to military families.

And Aaron, the stats about military families tell us that there's a lot of struggle going on for for those couples, right?

Yes, there are significant struggles, especially around loneliness for the spouse of the military

individual. The research is pretty high. Sixty-five to 70 percent of military spouses experience

significant loneliness at some point.

And that's high.

But you think about the lifestyle is different than the average person, the average couple,

in that one or maybe even both are deployed or they go away for training and the other one is left at home trying to pick up the

pieces and manage. Granted, I know military communities grow very close because of that, but there

might be someone who's not connecting within the military community or they want their spouse and they

maybe can't even talk to them while they're deployed.

So it's some very unique circumstances and I just, whenever I talk about military families,
