1:06.2	to be avoided. The first extreme is legalism. The other extreme is what we offers to as

1:21.0	Christian freedom. But the verses before us, as with the rest of scripture,
1:26.2	provide for us the key to living within the framework of freedom. Now in seeking to expand these verses,
1:32.4	what I'd like to do is focus first of all on the facts which he provides
1:36.4	Fact number one you'll find in verse four an idle is nothing at all in the world
1:43.0	Now the reason that that is significant is because in verses one to three,
1:47.0	he has been talking, he has introduced the subject which is food sacrifice to idols.
1:52.0	And we saw that within the context of the Corinthian
1:55.2	Church this was causing absolute chaos. Some people who were knowledgeable and
2:00.3	mature were saying, hey listen this is not a problem.
2:03.4	You can buy food in any store.
2:05.0	You can go to anybody's house.
2:06.7	You can eat anything you want.
