Hello American Prestige listeners. It's Derek, and I am here to talk briefly about something that is happening at the nation today, something very special that they're doing. I'm joined by Jack Murkinson,

0:21.1

who is senior editor at the nation. Jack, thank you for coming on. Thank you so much for having me.

0:26.2

We are always happy to promote good work being done at the nation, and that's not just because

0:31.4

the nation promotes our podcast, but it's not purely a quid pro quo, but no, really, this is a great project that you guys are doing.

0:39.3

Why don't you tell people what's going on today?

0:42.3

Thank you, and thank you for assuring your listeners that this is past your quality assurance test.

1:48.4

declared last October. There was a recent study from the Media Watch Group Fair that found that

1:56.7

there has been the lowest level of coverage in the past few months since the genocide began in

2:03.0

2023. And this is despite the fact that Gaza remains in just about as much chaos and catastrophe

2:13.8

as it ever has. And so, I mean, just this past weekend, Israel killed 30 people in a bombing in Gaza.

2:24.2

I mean, everything, including the violence, the hunger, the dispossession, the displacement,

2:31.3

is ongoing.

2:32.3

And we wanted to not only highlight that,

2:37.5

but to try and remind our readers
