we are in a great series, understanding the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven.

Have you ever wondered like the disciples did by the way why Jesus spoke in parables?

Well, we're going to find out in this series. We're going to be looking at seven

parables that Jesus spoke all from Matthew, chapter 13, that Jesus himself

called mysteries in Matthew 13, 10 through 11.

Byron, as you often remind us, it was our privilege and honor to have Adrian Rogers in the studio to talk about these messages.

We have some great insights today, starting with the usage of this term,

mystery.

We have to understand that the word mystery, as it is used in the Bible, is different from the kind of a mystery that we would find in a Perry

Mason story. The word mystery in the

history in the Bible means a truth that you cannot know apart from divine revelation

and that there's no way on earth that you could figure it out.

It's not a problem to be solved. It's a revelation to be received.

Today we're looking at the third parable carry in the series, the parable of the mustard seed, and a message that Adrian Rogers calls the

mystery of the mustard seed and the devil's dirty birds.

I like that. In Matthew 13, Jesus teaches us secrets of the kingdom of God through seven parables.

And these prophetic stories, the Lord Jesus is beginning something new.

Yet the enemy has many ways to sabotage his good work.

Adrian Rogers says, Satan is not against religion.

He uses religion to accomplish his purpose.
