It was August 29, 1922, hours after the Vaporita Thata had sank

and the first survivors, or sub-revivientes, were washing up on shore.

In the nearby village of Los Chodos, 60-year-old Gregoa de Afredeves

looked out her window and saw two boys running towards her house.
