Hi everyone, a quick note before we begin.

This season of the Duolingo Spanish podcast is serialized,

so if you haven't heard the previous episodes yet,

In our previous episode, Ricardo and Carlos began to search for the remains of the Itata,

but after two years with no luck,

they decided to take a different approach.

Carlos Cortés was standing in the middle of a television studio

behind an array of bright lights and cameras.

He was about to go on live television on a popular Chilean show called Buenos dias a todos.

That morning in 2016, he was the featured guest.

Up until this moment, Carlos and his friend Ricardo Bordones

had done everything they could to find the shipwreck.

They had even gone on several expeditions at sea with the help of the Navy,

but each trip brought them more questions than answers.

Ricardo and I explored an enormous amount of miles in the sea,

but we didn't find the Maporitat.

We couldn't ask for more help to the armed one,

so we had to look for another type of help.

We wanted to talk about our mission with everyone,

and that's why we decided to go to the television.

The TV hosts gave the signal, and Carlos appeared on the screen.
