Then there's prayers of petition, and probably that is the prayer that's the prayed the most often,

although I don't think it should be.

Petition is a person just asking God to do something for them.

We are speaking of petitioning God when we ask for ourselves,

when we ask for others, it's intercession.

When personal petition outweighs praise and Thanksgiving,

it usually indicates a greedy, ungrateful person.

Let me say it again.
