Hey everyone, Dr. Michael Carey here, and today I want to talk about the uncertainty that we've all felt as believers when we look at the condition of the world and wonder, why is God waiting?

Why does evil keep pushing forward? And why does it feel at times like heaven is watching, but not acting?

Well, the Bible addresses that prophetic

tension and it calls it the mystery of God. And in Revelation 10, God tells us that the mystery that

so often surrounds his workings on earth is coming to an end. And what I want to show you today is powerful

and it's sobering, but I think it will also give you clarity to the times that we're living in.

Revelation 10 opens with one of the most dramatic visions in the entire book of Revelation.

As John sees a mighty angel come down from heaven and this angel sets one foot on the sea and

the other on the land and announces that God's delay that the mystery surrounding his workings concerning mankind

is coming to an end.

Now, at this point, the angel raises his hand towards heaven and swears an oath by the ever-living God,

after which John is commanded to take a little book from the angel's hand and eat it,

which he describes as sweet in his mouth, but bitter in his stomach.
