Today, the origins of the coronavirus, the Indian American doctors helping a surge far from home and a new abortion law.

On Wednesday, President Biden made a fairly extraordinary set of statements about the origins of the pandemic.

What he announced was that he had directed his intelligence agencies to, in his words,

redouble their efforts to try and understand the origins of that pandemic.

And he explained that there are basically two theories right now that the intelligence agencies are looking at.

One is that the virus originated when an animal infected with the virus that causes COVID-19, infected a human,

and then that human spread it to other people so it kind of naturally occurring outbreak.

The other is the so-called lab leak theory.
