Our old buddy, Ed Wurter, who has covered the Cowboys and the NFL for decades.

We had him every week, last week during the football season, loved our visits with Ed,

and we were going to start the Ed Wurter show next

Tuesday. But with the news of yesterday, we decided we needed an emergency edition of the Ed Wurter

show. So we're going to start a week early. Ed joins us now on the ticket. Good morning. How are you?

I'm doing well for a guy who got up at 4 a.m. to be on TV this morning, analyzing

the Micah Parsons trade to Green Bay. You have covered this team for a very long time,

and I imagine this is one of the two or three most shocking stories that you would cover,

although with the Cowboys, there been a long list of those.

But do you think this just came down to back in March, Jerry got so mad about Micah wanting

to introduce his agent into the negotiations that he just couldn't get past that?

I think that was the starting point of this extended conflict.

It led to, you know, the outcome we saw yesterday, which was entirely unexpected, I think.

The timing of it, you know, could not have been worse.
