Bruce Bochy will not be back as the manager of the Texas Rangers.

He has been offered an advisory role with the team.

He's 70 years old.

It's not known if he will take that.

I really thought this would be his last ride as a manager.

28 years total, over 2,200 wins, the sixth all-time winning this manager in Major League

Baseball history and, of course, four World Series, including the one, his first year here

in Texas, that magical 20-23 season, when the Rangers went on that incredible run in the playoffs, went 13 and 4 in postseason

play and won the World Series over the diamond backs.

But then 78 and 84 missing the postseason in last season in 2024.

And then this year, a very strange season, up and down year that finished at 500.

This is not surprising.

He only had a three-year deal.

The mutual agreement thing is interesting.
