This is the best time of the year to be a golf fan here in North Texas.

We have the C.J. cup byron nelson which is

underway this morning next week it is the charles schwab challenge at colonial this is such a great

time of the year it's awesome and you know two tournaments so close together close in proximity but

they're so different.

There's so many great attributes to both of them.

And this one that's underway, I'm really a homer for,

because as soon as I moved here in the early 80s,

that was a ride of passage of the spring to not only go to the tournament, but as a junior golfer, an aspiring golfer, to go to the junior clinic,

usually on Monday or Tuesday, and see somebody like our buddy DA Wybring put on a clinic

with some of his PGA friends.

I spoke to the salesmanship club, and we're about to talk about the salesmanship club here in a second.

A few months back with DA, and I still have the putter that was handed out to us in 1981.

Wow.

And I forgot it at home.

And I just had to tell DA about it.

And I showed him a picture of it, the fact that I still had it.

But that was just an impact that it made on me.
