Yesterday, I was thinking about the weirdness of our current coaching situation in Dallas,

Fort Worth, with our big four sports.

And I was thinking about two years ago, roughly two seasons ago for all of these teams,

we thought we were sitting pretty and all four with our coaches

and probably had coaches that were going to be here for a long time.

Bruce Bochy had just won the World Series.

Pete DeBore had gotten the stars to the Western Conference finals in his first year,

and everybody was really happy with that.

Mike McCarthy was riding a wave of three straight 12-win regular seasons.

Now, he had only won one playoff game, so as always with the Cowboys head coach, there were

questions about whether or not he was the guy.

But the three straight 12-win seasons had people feeling relatively good about him.

And Jason Kidd, just two seasons ago, had taken the Mavericks to the NBA finals against Boston.

You know, we're a little about a year removed from that, but two seasons ago.

So, you know, and even two seasons before a year removed from that, but two seasons ago.

So, you know, and even two seasons before that had gotten them to the West finals. So all four of our coaches felt very stable and like they were doing a pretty good job.

And when you think about that, three of the four had gotten to at least the conference finals or league finals or

whatever it was and two at advanced to a championship round and the cowboys were doing whatever

they were doing. Well, now here we are fast forward, not even two years. And DeBore is out. I don't know what you, what did you think of that?

Was that surprising or not surprising the way the season ended? I think not surprising once the

season ended, like especially after, I know the Otter comments. I know that wasn't the singular

reason, but listening to that press conference,
