In July 2022, Strongsville, Ohio police responded to a car crash where three occupants, including Mackenzie Shirilla, Dominic Russo, and Davion Flanagan, were found. Tragically, Dominic and Davion were pronounced dead at the scene, while Mackenzie survived with critical injuries. Investigators soon shifted their focus from the accident being unintentional to the belief that Mackenzie purposefully crashed the car with the intention of killing both passengers.
