Hey guys and welcome to the Mums & Murder podcast. A true crime podcast featuring myself Mandy and my dear friend Melissa Heimels.

I'm doing really really well this week. I've had a really crazy crazy week as you know, but I'm doing awesome. This has been a great week. So many fun and exciting things have happened this week.

In my house, the number one thing is that we got a puppy and that's kind of yeah that's the that's the big news around here. She's really sweet and everybody loves her and she's been here.

This whole thing is really amazing.

This whole week so far. So that's been taking up all of our attention and all of our what is that. I mean, I guess there is no word for attention.

Everything. Yeah.

Yeah, exactly. So that's that's fun and it's something different than me coming on this week and saying how close the holidays are and how the weather is.

Well, we still did it.

What's her name? I don't remember her name. I know we've talked about it. Yeah, no, her name is Lila and she's a German short here at pointer. Yeah. So just a really simple name.

We've actually had dogs before. I mean, we've had a lot of dogs before a long time ago. I had a miniature pincher before I even had my second son.

This is a years ago and her name was Lola and she was one of my favorite dogs. I've ever had. I love her and miss her so much.

And then we had another dog named Lily and she was another favorite. So we kind of combine those two names and some people might think that's a little strange way to name a dog.

I had the idea and I was like, you know, I love those names. I loved Lola. I loved Lily. I missed those dogs. Maybe I'll just combine their names and make a new dog naming call this one Lila.

And then once I had the idea, I like couldn't. I really liked the name and I couldn't like stop thinking about it and I tried to come up with other names. But this is where we're at. Her name is Lila and she's just so precious and so sweet.

And a lot of work. I've forgotten how much work puppies actually are, but we're all really enjoying it. It's always such a joy to have a new baby, a new baby animal in the house. You know, I'm all about.

Yeah. Yeah. So my other niece's name is Lila and her birthday is today. You know, my husband's sister. Yeah. So when he said Lila, I'm like, Oh, no, I don't think I've. I don't think I've asked you the name yet because I would have definitely made that connection. Yeah. And it's her first birthday today. So super exciting all the way around. Yeah.
