John Lennon was all of these and more to many people. He was an inspiration to

millions during his life and continues to be for many, many after his passing. Lennon's life was

tragically cut short when he was only 40 years old. He was entering his apartment building around

10.50 p.m. one evening when he was shot from behind by a gunman. At 1115, he was pronounced dead on arrival

at the hospital. Friends, family, and fans throughout the world mourned his passing. Hey, you guys,
