In June of 2015, Dr. Theresa Severs was on vacation

with her family in Connecticut.

She decided to cut it short and return home

so she could see patients at her medical practice while her husband

stayed in Connecticut with their children. Dr. Severs was last seen on surveillance at the airport

after her flight arrived as she made her way out and drove home.

When she arrived home, she was brutally attacked by two unknown assailants

who ultimately took her life.
