On July 31st, 1995, a woman was brutally killed inside her place of business.

A case that went unsolved for a decade and may have remained that way, had a chance

encounter not led to one man's action. So if you like your coffee hot but your bones chilled,

sit back and start your day with a morning cup of murder. Dana Shilene Fowler-Satterfield was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina

on November 16, 1967, and was always known as a dedicated young woman who was always willing to help those in need.

Making friends wherever she went, she married her high school boyfriend, had a daughter named Ashley shortly after graduation,

and though that marriage quickly fell apart, she found love again with a man named Paul Michael, Mike Satterfield.

The pair had a child of their own, a son named Brandon, and while Mike ran an air conditioning

and heating company, Dana stayed home to raise the children and keep the house in order.

Though she did do some odd jobs here and there to help bring in some money when

they needed it. And when her children got older and no longer needed her constant care,

Dana seized the opportunity and decided to pursue her dreams of becoming a hairstylist.

She wanted to do something that was for herself after years of caring for others.

And with the help of her husband, she designed and then opened up her own salon in Roebuck.

This was around the same time that her second marriage started to crumble.

It was not a big messy blow up, though.
