Welcome friends to a special edition of Thoroughly Jewish Thursday, a very somber day for so many

reasons. I pray as you stay with me today as we open up the scriptures, as we talk about the murder

of Charlie Kirk, as we talk about the tragic events of 9-11 from 24 years ago.

As we talk about human suffering and the mourners of Zion,

that you'll come away with greater focus, greater understanding,

even greater purpose, and greater faith.

How about we stop and pray and ask God to be with us?

Father, so many voices right now, so many things

vying for our attention. We step back, we calm ourselves before your throne, and we say,

Lord, share your heart with us. Open our ears, open our heart, open our mind, to respond,

to hear, to be in harmony with you. We ask it in the name of Jesus in Yeshua's name.

I want to reach you in a moment from Isaiah the 61st chapter.

Let me just say a couple of things first.

We did live radio five days a week for 16 years and felt in 2024 that we were coming to the end of

that period and we began to do some pre-recorded 30-minute daily teaching shows and so it was

just our plan to phase things out as of October of 2024 with our live broadcasts.

And we did thirdly Jewish Thursday for many, many years.

And as I travel on the road, folks would often comment how they appreciate it that day.

It was a day just to focus on Jewish-related themes and questions and do Jewish outreach and things like that.

Then we were doing our 30-minute show as well, but for a number of reasons, pulled back from

everything. And as many of you know, I was on an extended sabbatical and spent a lot of time really
