In November of 1994, Charles Daniel Tuttle and his friend David Landry moved to Tyler, Texas from Beaumont with no job and no place to live.

So David reached out to an aunt, Kathy Harris, and asked if she could help them out.

She offered the two men a place to stay, and by January of 1995, both men had jobs and began paying their half of rent.

Charles, on the other hand, spent his money on booze, girls, and anything that would impress.

He demanded that Charles start paying rent, or Kathy would be forced to ask him to leave.

Charles said it wasn't a problem, and that he would be out of the mobile home by the beginning of the week.

Monday rolled around, and Charles took all of his stuff out of the home.

Unbeknownst to Kathy, Charles, who was sleeping in his truck nearby, would wait until she left for work and be let in so he could eat and take a shower.

David would go to work and instruct Charles to lock up before he left.

He'd been doing this for about a week without drawing any suspicion from Kathy Harris.
