Summary

On May 9, 2021, Tristyn Bailey (13) made the fateful decision to sneak out of her home in the early morning hours. She went to hang out with a classmate, Aiden Fucci (14).

Tristyn and Aiden were last seen on CCTV at 1.45am – they were walking towards a pond. At around 3.27am, only one person is seen leaving the area.

Tristyn’s body was found at 6.06pm on May 9. She had been brutally stabbed 114 times.

Police quickly turned their attention to Aiden. He was arrested on May 10 and charged with Tristyn’s murder. During the course of the investigation, police discovered that Aiden owned multiple knives and had even named some of them. He also kept notebooks filled with violent and blood-filled drawings.

1:04.7	It's been all right here. Like some days are a little bit overcast but generally it's been hot and sunny. That is quite humid.
1:10.7	Like we went out for dinner last night and we were sitting in the restaurant and for some reason it was just so hot.
1:16.7	I was like oh my gosh, we had to actually go and sit outside where it was surprisingly cool.
1:20.7	But I think the humidity is around 85%. It's fun but anyway, it's all good.
1:26.7	Not too bad, everything's yeah. No, it's been nice enough. We've been doing lots of swimming.
1:30.7	The kids have been living in the pool during summer, which is good. And they're at the beach this morning with my sister-in-law.
1:36.7	So that's nice for them. How was your weekend away?
1:40.7	Yeah, it was nice. Oh, we actually got upgraded. So I just booked us into like a hotel room with two beds for me and the two kids.
1:46.7	And I was like oh yeah, but when we got there, they upgraded us to a two bedroom apartment with two bathrooms. It was very, very luxurious.
1:54.7	The pecs looked really nice. Yeah, it was nice. And you get to get the fireworks.
1:58.7	Yeah, every Saturday night down there in Sydney, they have like fireworks just for fun essentially.
2:04.7	And we went out for dinner and then the kids wanted to go back to the hotel so we just lay in bed and watch the fireworks.
2:10.7	Yeah, it was really nice. We had a good time. We did lots of walk-in. Like the second day, I think we did like 20,000 steps or something.
2:16.7	My little one wasn't COVID. It's too hot. I can't walk anymore.
2:20.7	But anyway, that was really good. It was nice just to get away for a little break.
