When I tell people what this podcast is about, one of the first questions that I usually

0:09.8

get asked is if I'm worried about running out of things to talk about, and I suppose

0:15.2

that is not an unreasonable concern, if you are only aware of the work of Agatha Christie

0:20.6

and perhaps a few of the other more popular crime writers from the 1920s and 30s.

0:26.6

Which is why today you get to eavesdrop on my new murder mystery hotline.

1:18.2

Welcome to She Done It.

1:19.8

I'm Caroline Crampton.

1:30.5

Here's how this is going to work.

1:32.4

I opened up the hotline to members of the She Done It book club a couple of weeks ago,

1:37.2

asking for their very specific book recommendation requests.

1:41.3

Say you want to read a golden age mystery with a parrot in it, or one where there's a

1:45.8

car chase, or you've already enjoyed all the books by one famous author and want something

1:51.5

similar from someone less well known.

1:54.2

These books have not yet magically fallen into your lap, but perhaps I can help.
