Hey everybody we're back for another first-run bald movie tonight we saw the

genesis of the dark universe of universal pictures monster movies

2017's The Mummy starring Tom Cruise and a bunch of other people who will probably get to.

Jim Jones, what did you think of this movie?

So I went in this movie expecting to be, expecting it to be terrible. Same.

And I don't think it was good, but it could have been much worse.

I had it up until maybe the very end I was I was surprised at how much fun I was having.

Okay.

All right. Look you got to understand I grew up with movies like

Stargate and Stargate and Stargate and others I had I no... I mean the Independence Day and just like all these monsters.

And I feel like that between like there is that and there is like some American

wherewolf in London kind of comedy to some things and it was kind of all over

place tonally and you know like in my heart of hearts I guess I would rather

than make an inter if they're going to make an interconnected universe of movie monsters

I'd rather than go for horror than essentially reskinning comic book movies

okay because that's what this felt like this felt like a comic book and and it also felt like the clap the not the

classic the anti classic DC formula where we're going to decide to do a Marvel

universe style interconnected series and we're just going to announce it and get all these

movies under production but instead of making a couple of good movies that might have

some Easter eggs and some hooks later they're just all in and I felt like

the last part of the movie started really creaking under the weight of launching the franchise.

And up until then I thought it was funny it wasn't fun like
