So we have just landed in Dapatrula and it could not be more different than Juarez.

It's Saturday, January 11, 2020, and I've just landed in a small airport in Dapatrula on Mexico's southern border with Guatemala.

Literally we went from the northernmost border in Mexico to the southernmost border.

We crossed the entire country of Mexico.

I checked my phone, no messages. Inside the airport I rushed to baggage claim.

I look at every young man I pass, hoping he'll be here, waiting for me.
