So for this episode, just as a programming note, Joanna and I are both on Skype while

Richard is in studio and I have to leave halfway through.

So it's a fun choose your own adventure kind of podcast.

So Joanna, we have a lot of random kind of unrelated things to kick off so I'm not

going to try to like string a thread here but I wanted to start by talking to you

about South by Southwest.

You're home now from South by?

Yeah, literally just got off the flights in the wee hours of this morning.

And I am home and back and missing us already.

What's interesting though is, well maybe not to a lot of

people, but a lot of film critics are stranded in Austin right now.

Yeah. Fly back to the East Coast. So a lot of them are just struggling to find

hotels or couches to crash on as they're stuck in Austin, but they're

worst places to be stuck because then they can just sort of, you know, eat more

tacos and go to more movies I guess.

Don't they get to stick around from the music part and go see some hip bands?

Depends on your badge to be honest but it always does. But I've always sort of wanted to stay the full week at South By it seems ridiculous, but there's just so many movies you can't physically get to that don't do repeat views until much later week.

So those film critics in theory could see a lot of things that were lower on their priority list maybe.
