Welcome to Disruptus. I'm Rob Moore and we're going to do a review of the year interviewing

0:07.5

the most disruptive people on the planet. This is probably our best year for podcasting

0:13.1

in terms of quality of guests, craziness and growth. So get yourself strapped in because

0:20.0

I'm going to go through the craziness, the disruption, the content and the surprises

0:25.5

of the last 12 months of the Disruptus podcast. It feels like 10 years ago but it was about a

0:31.0

year ago we rebranded Disruptus. So it used to be called Disruptive Entrepreneur because

0:37.0

probably my greatest passion and my profession is business and entrepreneurship. I'll have

0:42.5

interviewing and listening to and learning from and reverse engineering the traits of the

0:46.8

greats especially when it comes to business finance money economics. But I realised that the

0:51.6

world was changing and people needed more than just business and financial advice. They needed

0:57.1

guidance, they needed inspiration, they needed some entertainment to get through these crazy years

entrepreneurs and 20 billionaires I'm not saying you know everything but you can distill

1:12.1

and model a general formula for success but there are so many disruptive interesting unique people

1:17.5

on the planet and I wanted to learn outside of the spirit of entrepreneurship. I also wanted to

1:22.4

grow the channel and I didn't want you complaining when I interviewed some really crazy people and

1:26.1

you're like well why are you interviewing them on the Disruptive Entrepreneur? I easily interviewed

1:30.1

over 50 people in the last 12 months so I can't talk about everyone so we're going to pick the

1:33.9

best parts of the last 12 months. So going back 12 months the first person we interviewed of the

1:38.7

year was Nigel Farage, Mr. Brexit, probably the UK's most controversial politician. I really

1:45.6

enjoyed sitting down with Nigel because he's a great orator. He seems relatively honest if

1:51.0

what politician can be called honest and I suppose because now he's not specifically campaigning
