we're going to be talking about some of the best movies

from the 2024 edition of the South by Southwest Film Festival.

staff writer and box office analyst Ryan Scott. Hey everyone how's it going?

All right Ryan how was your South By this year?

Before we get into the actual movies that we're going to talk about today,

I was just wondering what the vibe was like and how you would compare

this edition of the festival to previous ones that you've attended.

I had a bit of interesting experiences here because I spent a lot more time.

I spent less time watching movies I was planning to review and I spent a lot of time at like panels and Q&As and stuff like that and I do some of that I've done some of that previous years but this year that was a heavy focus for me so

It was definitely a bit of a different vibe

because I was more time sort of watching people

talk about the movies at the festival and things like that.

And so I wasn't, I didn't see like 20 movies, You know I saw like 10 or 11 you know so it sort of it sort of so that that was different for me in that sense but it was also really cool. I I learned that Sydney Sweeney is way more famous than any of us think she is like we know she's

famous but like she's like super famous like it's like crazy how famous she is

just by the attendance of that panel is that what you mean? Yeah because so normally at a lot of these conventions or comic cons or whatever what will happen is

you'll have if there's a panel they will clear the room between panels.
