It was a very, very difficult time just because again, I can deal with, you know, not making the Olympic team. I could deal with struggling, you know, with my job because I was devoting a lot of time to training and wrestling and trying to balance

you know my marriage and everything else but you know it was a rough patch.

but he went through some challenges both professionally with wrestling, trying to make the 1992 Olympic team, as well as with his mother who ended up passing away during this time.
