I'm Katie Rich. I'm here with Richard Lawson. Hello, and joining us is Hillary

Beuses hello, and we're gathered here today because it's the morning after the Emmys

And I was delighted that our dearly departed college Joanna Robinson had tweeted about how she'd be listening to us

So hi Joanna and someone just responded that they were waiting for us to explain everything and so here we are

We can explain absolutely everything that happened at the Emmys, right?

Well, I can't quite explain. Yeah, I can't quite explain what Conan O'Brien was up to, although I would love to know the answer

And having a great time, right? I'm told that the Colbert bit at least was planned

That they had like spoke like the Colbert was like come up on stage if I win

So that that's good, but it played really nicely having him

Because he's so tall like having him standing awkwardly in the background of anything is gonna be funny

Yeah, exactly

So yeah, we're gonna talk about the Emmys this morning after this is a tradition that we do

I feel a little less blurry than I do after the Oscars maybe

Maybe because some of the Emmys are predictable maybe because we're all still doing this from home

But maybe let's just start overall like I had a good time watching these Emmys

It was a real award show so we're gonna point it out something accurate that it didn't really look like it was outside

But provided no one gets COVID I feel like it went pretty well. What do you guys think?
