Welcome to the Murder Minute Podcast. Today, the story of the Moors murders, but first your true crime headlines. A Southern California man is being held without bail after gunning down the mother of his child during a child custody exchange at a police station.

The accused murderer, 30-year-old Jacob Bryan Munn, dropped off his 17-month-old son at the Hawthorne Police Station sometime

before 6 p.m. last Sunday, then retrieved a shotgun from his vehicle and waited.

When the child's mother, 28-year-old Brenda Renteria,

arrived to pick up her child a short time later,

she was gunned down as she approached the front door

of the police station.

The victim's mother, who had accompanied her daughter to the police

station was not injured. After the shooting mund fled the scene in his vehicle.

He was apprehended about three hours later.

If convicted, he could face the death penalty.

Two men in a Portland suburb called 911 to report that a burglar was hiding

in the bathroom of the home where they were house sitting.

They had briefly left their nephew's house to walk his dog and upon returning, they could

hear commotion in the bathroom and see a shadow of a suspect moving under the door.

Police and canine units descended on the home.
