I just want to let you know that the episode of the Epic Universal podcast that you're

about to listen to was actually recorded before the catastrophic wildfires that have

ravaged so much of Southern California got underway.

Of course, our hearts go out to all those folks whose lives have been directly impacted by this sadly still going on event.

And Mr. Hersey and I hope that in the coming days that these wildfires will finally be brought under control

and that the healing and rebuilding can then begin.

But if you, like me, are feeling kind of helpless and overwhelmed at the moment,

well, I want to remind you that you can always contribute to the American Red Cross,

which is doing what it can on the ground out there to give immediate aid and comfort

to the victims of these wildfires.
