I used the latest in AI voice recreation technology to make it sound like Jeff said that because I killed Jeff.

Just joking, I did not use AI.

That's just cut from a previous episode. And also,

Jeff is alive. It's me that almost died. If you listened to last week's episode of In Your Area and didn't skip my tastefully brief spoken word intro, like a jerk, then you could likely tell from the sound of my voice

and the fact that I said I was probably on my way to the hospital that I was in pretty bad

shape and I was and I did go to the hospital. I just got home Friday afternoon. It was scary and traumatic.

You know, the hardest part of this show for me is the beginning of the show.

Because that's when I have to spend all sorts of time asking a room full of guests what they're up to when all I really want to talk about

is what I've been doing for the past seven days.

That's why we call this segment this week in me and it's about to get real intense.

Well, I was going to say it was very scary and traumatic and a thing that I'm still kind of

in the thick of, and I'm not super duper ready to talk about in detail

at the moment.

But hey, someday, unfortunately, for at least the next week or so, my ability to work is going

to be a little limited.
