This week we're going to talk about ice coffee when you should show up at every event in

your life and when the Sunday Scaries bleed into Monday.

My arm was sore from pressing down on my arrow press.

This is less of an indicator of the difficulty of an arrow press and more of a signifier that I have weak arms.

Each morning I maintain the exact same routine.

I press snooze, I wake up, I shower, I do what every normal person does at the sink, I get dressed,

I heat up some water in my electric kettle to use my aforementioned arrow press,

and then I take my hot coffee and immediately ice it and top it off with water,

thus creating a hippie version of an iced americano.

But this morning was a little different.

After Alexa notified me it was a crisp 51 degrees outside, I decided to do something I hadn't done in months.

For going the ice I simply topped off my coffee with equally hot water creating your standard americano.

Leaving the comforts of my apartment draped in a new barn code in my tote bag that I'm using as a makeshift briefcase,

I walked to my car to start the day.

Then the horror.

Two steps in, I realized what I had done.

Nearly burning my tongue and spilling it down the front of myself, I knew the mistake had already been made.

I deviated from my standard coffee and I found myself regretting every decision I had made in my life that led me to that one single hot coffee.

Going to any normal coffee shop, be it Starbucks, Pizza or the hipster spot down the street that offers pour over,

it will yield you some bizarre looks when you order an ice beverage in the dead of winter.
