I'm Josh Duboff, Vanity Fair Senior Writer, and I'm here with Julie Miller, Vanity Fair's Senior Hollywood writer.

On In The Limelight, we analyze the ins and outs of pop culture, entertainment, and celebrity from the past week,

from the Kardashians to Megan Markle and everything in between.

That felt so good. I feel like that felt way more natural than I thought it was going to,

that we mixed it up. That was thanks to a Twitter user who suggested that we changed the intro,

and I love it. I hadn't even thought of it. We really hadn't.

So I think this is accurate to say that the entire, we've been doing in the limelight now

for over a year, I think a year in a few weeks. And yeah, because our first episode was

the, right after the election. And we feel like the way it all started when we started this podcast,

when Megan Markle started dating Prince Harry right around when we started, it just, we sort of

inadvertently have become an obsessive Megan Markle podcast in a way. Like that's our, that's our B plot or

something, or A plot, I guess. What am I saying? B plot. I know. She's kind of our muse, our spirit guide.

So I think we sort of both feel, I think, right? Julie, it's fair to say that everything's been leading up to this moment, their engagement.

It feels right. It really feels right that it came out today. I don't know why why but the timing just lined up yeah sometimes when

me hen harry news comes out on the day after we record and we feel julie and i both kind of sigh that we

missed it by a week but this was as if megan knew we needed it today coming out of the thanksgiving

break we have so much to discuss about this this is our special episode emergency edition i guess we

should what where should we even start well i think let's start with what was your like did you know

this was coming this morning what was your first reaction so i guess around wednesday of last week

the day before thanksgiving i started seeing on Twitter that it was coming.

And I saw someone on Twitter who was sort of like in the British press who said they were on alert as well.
