you've experienced this, but in the middle of life storms, it's easy to think that God is mad at us.

Have we done something wrong?

Have we made a misstep?

Or did we take an intentional detour?

Sometimes we know what we did, and sometimes we don't. Why is

the storm here at my door? Well today Pastor JD explains that God ultimately

uses our troubles for restoration, not retribution. We are starting the new year off in a new

But for now, let's turn to the book of Jonah

and see what God has to say to us today.

Jonah chapter two. Jonah chapter two. Actually, I lied. It's Jonah the 2. Jona chapter 2, actually I lied, it's Jonah at the end of Jonah 1, but if I were in charge of putting

chapter divisions in the Bible, I would have put a chapter division right above verse 17,

but I'm not in charge of that so Jona 1 Jonah 117 is where chapter 2 starts in my book.
