We hope you enjoy the message. Well, for the past few years on Halloween night, I've taken my two boys, Noah and Andrew

trick-or-treating.

And the tradition is kind of that we will go out and the boys will spend probably an hour

or two kind of going door to door trick or treating and asking people for candy and then we will

go home and I will take both of their baskets and I'll kind of pour the candy out on the table

and I'll begin to sift through it because I'm looking for two things. Number one, I just want to kind of pour the candy out on the table and I'll begin to sift through it.

Because I'm looking for two things.

Number one, I just wanna kind of get my mind around

what I'm gonna have to work with over the next few days.

Like what candy will I be eating?

Because I kind of think of it as a dad tax.

Like I took them out trick-or-treating and so in a sense they owe me and the way that

they can repay me is by letting me eat their candy whether they realize I'm doing it or not.

So I just want to see what I have to work with. The second reason that I will look through

their candy is just to see if any creepers put anything shady in their baskets, I don't know,

say a homemade brownie, something like that. I just want to guard against anything like that.

And inevitably, at least for the last few years we've been doing this, the result has always

been the same. Both boys come home with a mixed bag. It's a bag where

there's some good stuff and some bad stuff. And so tonight I have Andrew's Halloween basket. It is a
